Family Forging Experience
Be a blacksmith for a day with the whole family. The is a fantastic experience for the whole family to work in a blacksmith forge alongside a working blacksmith.
This 3 hour experience will introduce your family (up to 6 people) to forging hot steel.
What will we forge?
In this campfire themed experience, everyone will forge their own projects and each person can choose from
- S’mores sticks – hand forged and then burned into a wooden handle
- Chicken/steak flipper – hand forged and twisted
- Fire poker – traditional shepherd’s crook handle
The cost is $720 for up to 6 people.
Perfect for a family vacation or special occasion.
This customized three hour hands on class will introduce you to blacksmithing and working with hot iron. You will learn how to forge hot steel and bend it to make the handles of your projects. You will also twist red hot steel which is always a highlight of blacksmithing.

I will provide all of the safety equipment, tools, and materials and you bring your family!
The time and day will be determined by your schedule and my availability and this class is typically offered on weekdays.
This class will take place in The British Blacksmith forge located at
8477 Pools Brook Road
Kirkville NY 13082
The forge is 20 mins east of Syracuse NY and easy to get to from all locations it is close to I-81 and the New York Thruway I-90.

Cancellations made greater than 21 calendar days prior to the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 21 calendar days will incur a 50% fee. Please contact me via email for cancellations.
