Looking for a fun group experience?
Gather a group of friends or family and come and forge red hot steel with an experienced blacksmith.
I will teach you how to move and shape metal to make functional items that you can take home. Making your own hand forged fire poker or herb chopper is an excellent experience and you can proudly show all your friends what you made.
This is a great opportunity to have an enjoyable time with friends or family and to have a unique experience.
Perfect for a group of friends, a bachelor party, a bachelorette party, family reunion, or any kind of special occasion.
These private group classes are typically 3 hours long and you will get to work with a blacksmith to make your own hand forged items.
You can have a private class for 4-6 people and you can choose what project to do from a choice of herb choppers, fire pokers, hooks, coat rack, bottle opener, or some other project that we can agree can be completed within the 3 hour class!
Note: If you would like to have a private knife making class with friends, then please email me about those ideas (there will be an additional cost as the class would be 5 hours long).
How to book a private class
Gather some friends or family together and then email me at mark@thebritishblacksmith.com and we can arrange a date and time (and project) for you to come to the forge
The cost is $600 for up to 4 people and then an additional $150 for the 5th personhood and an additional $150 for the 6th person (max. 6 people).
The time and day will be determined by your schedule and my availability. Typically, private classes are on Saturdays, Sundays, or weekday evenings but you can certainly organize a class during the afternoon or morning – just email me and we can work it all out……..
This customized three hour hands on class will introduce you to blacksmithing and working with hot iron.
I will provide all of the safety equipment, tools, and materials and you bring yourself and some friends.
Customized Projects
We will work together to forge a project such as a fire poker, herb chopper, coat rack, bottle opener, trivet, or candlestick. We can also discuss other ideas and I can let you know what you can typically complete in 3 hours. These projects can also be customized to include names or dates stamped into the projects. Great for remembering a special occasion.
